Everyone on The Bold and the Beautiful thought Luna was this sweet, innocent young woman who dreamed of working for Forrester Creations and had a great connection with her boyfriend RJ. But that’s all changed since it was revealed she’s a killer. Her transformation from a nice girl to an evil villainess was shocking, and the fans gave their opinions about the twist.
When it was revealed (to the audience) that Luna was suddenly a diabolical murderer, you could see the transformation on portrayer Lisa Yamada’s face. It was subtle, and that subtlety sent shivers up many viewers’ spines because it was clear that she’s now evil, framing her mother for her crimes and even caging up Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in her apartment which was scheduled for demolition.
A video on X, formerly Twitter, of Yamada lip-syncing to a song called “Apple” by the artist Charli XCX. One of the lines of the song that stood out was, “I think the apple’s rotten right to the core,” and indicates Luna being evil through and through. Text overlayed on the video clip hilariously read, “Me after killing two people and framing my mom for the murders.”
One fan on X wondered, “[The Bold and the Beautiful] The more I watch these scenes with LunaTic and Steffy the more I’m asking ‘Why the hell isn’t Katie [Heather Tom] in that cage?’ This was Katie’s story and they abruptly shifted and made it about Steffy and Finn. What’s up with that?”
“I love how Luna knew the walls were closing in on her and decided it’s best not to wait for the wrecking crew to get rid of Steffy, using the tried and true used poisoned water for her dehydrated captive. Smart,” wrote one viewer. “Also, Lisa Yamada’s delivery”
Elsewhere on X, a viewer asked an important question, “WHY do YOU think Luna snapped?” That is a very good question, and many blamed her mother, Poppy (Romy Park), for poor parenting. Others poked fun by referring to the character as Looney Luna or Lunatic Luna, and noted that her evil glint rivaled that of Sheila (Kimberlin Brown).
However, one of the show’s legion of followers that doesn’t much care for this story tweeted, “It’s ridiculous that Luna was able to put Steffy in a cage!!!” and then dared to inject logic into the storyline with, “She’s not even allowing her to use the bathroom!! Crazy storyline.”
And one viewer with a great sense of humor quipped, “Yes, [I] love that she has Steffy in a cage losing her voice. Can we get Liam [Scott Clifton] in a cage next?” (Find out why Luna may get away with murder.)
