On The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope turned down Thomas’s proposal and everybody had something to say about it, especially Thomas’s sister, Steffy. Immediately, she went on the warpath. She confronted Hope, feeling validated and wanting Hope to move on with her life. In the Wednesday, March 20 episode, the two went toe to toe sharing their different perspectives but not coming to any shared conclusions. Soap Hub turned to the fans to find out what they thought of the showdown.
And Just Like That…They’re Battling
After Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) broke the news to his sister that Hope broke his heart, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) didn’t waste any time. She ran to Hope (Annika Noelle — who talks six years of playing Hope Logan here), and they had it out right there in Forrester.
Steffy’s story has never changed. She insisted that Hope can never and will never love Thomas. That she’s using him, toying with his emotions, and once she has her fun, she’ll move on and leave Thomas behind. What she does love about Thomas is the devotion he showers all over her. She can’t get enough of the attention he gives her. After all, Liam never gave her his undivided attention.
Meanwhile, Hope finally admitted she is in love with Thomas. Not just care for him. Not just appreciate how much work he has done on himself for her. She loves him. She loves the family they can build together. The problem is, that she isn’t ready for a forever commitment. She just divorced Liam and isn’t ready to walk down the aisle anytime soon. If you ask Steffy, Hope will never be ready to marry Thomas ever.
So Steffy told Hope that she expressed to Thomas that he needed to let Hope go once and for all, and she felt that he finally listened to her. For her part, Hope told Steffy that because of their family and the love they have for each other, she needed to back off. The women are at a stalemate here. Neither of them is willing to back down. Things might get nastier before they get better.

@rickistheone does a great job of describing the scene saying “Steffy’s about to crank her neck and tell off Hope. Steffy says Hope doesn’t love Thomas and is using him. She believes Hope is toying with Thomas and loves his attention and devotion to her,” he wrote. Then he adds, “Where’s the lie? Steffy’s points are valid. @BandB_CBS #BoldandBeautiful” Do you agree?
While @rickistheone focused on Steffy’s valid points, @BroGod4Life loudly in all caps recognizes Hope’s actions, saying, “GOOD FOR YOU HOPE GO OFF ON STEFFY AND TELL HER TO BACK OFF YOU LOVE THOMAS NO MATTER WHAT 👏👏👏👏 #BoldandBeautiful”

Unlike Hope, @2015Audreyfan knows Steffy does care for and love Thomas a lot. In fact, she says, “If Steffy didn’t care about Thomas she wouldn’t be there battling for him after all Thomas has done to her… Steffy doesn’t battle for ones she doesn’t care about,Hope just doesn’t like being called out #BoldandBeautiful”
Meanwhile, @Vonne_girl appreciated and adored Steffy going there and making the observation that, “God, it really happened. You have gone full Logan.”
@tiffyt83 is Team Hope all the way. “It’s the way Hope has been the ONLY PERSON to believe in Thomas and him changing 🥹😭 yet we have to listen to Steffy tell hope how really she feels and that she could never commit to him 🙄🙄 #BoldandBeautiful”
Okay, so this tweet doesn’t exactly have to do with Hope and Steffy, but it does have to do with this entire situation. @sinnxcloislove noticed that “Brooke didn’t tell Thomas a word of what Hope told her about him. She could have laid all his doubts to rest and didn’t LMAO #BoldandBeautiful”
