Time flies when your character is thrust into drama. That’s how Annika Noelle might be feeling on the sixth anniversary of her joining The Bold and the Beautiful as tortured heroine Hope Logan. The actress debuted on the half-hour soap in January 2018.

Annika Noelle: At One, She Had Just Begun

Noelle shared photos of herself dressed as an edgier Hope with attitude to mark the occasion. She captioned the post, “6 years as Hope Logan 💙 Thank you [B&B].” She credited Howard Wise as the photographer.

She came onto B&B just in time for the show to reactivate the triangle with Hope, Liam (Scott Clifton), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). At first, Hope had made peace with the fact that Liam had moved on to Steffy but it soon became clear that Hope and Liam had unfinished business.

The actress embraced all of Hope’s qualities, most notably the character’s ability to forgive with believable grace. Liam vacillating between the two women in his life resulted in two pregnancies! Steffy gave birth to daughter Kelly; next, Hope gave birth to Liam’s daughter Beth.

By this time, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) had returned to Los Angeles with his son, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), following the sudden (off-screen *cough *cough) passing of Douglas’s mother Caroline. The stage was set that would result in ratings gold and a Daytime Emmy for B&B.

Noelle turned in daily tour de forces as Hope dealt with the devastating loss of her daughter. She didn’t know that Dr. Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady) had stolen Beth in an attempt to pay off some gambling debts. In an ironic twist, Steffy adopted the infant as she wanted to give Kelly a sister. Steffy herself knew how special it was to have a sibling courtesy of her twin, Phoebe.

“You’ve been such an awesome addition to the cast!!! I have LOVED watching you grow and really make Hope you’re own,” enthused Michelle Burchard on Noelle’s Instagram post, which can be seen above. “You’re truly an extraordinary actor!! ps….the baby Beth birth scenes about killed me, you were 1,000% believable….I could FEEL your pain!!! Absolutely amazing work!!!”

Indeed. Viewers anxiously awaited Hope finding out the truth. The payoff occurred in August 2019 when Douglas told Liam that baby Beth was alive. (Refresh your memory of that moment here.) Liam shared this news with Hope on the roof of Forrester Creations, foiling Thomas’s scheme to keep Hope as his wife.

The following year, Noelle earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. B&B submitted the episodes in which Hope “lost” her baby and when she learned her child was alive. Those selections earned the show a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team.

The actress has a social media presence on Instagram. She doesn’t post frequently, but she will interact with her followers when she has something poignant and special to share.

Noelle has gotten to stretch her acting muscles by voicing the role of Thomas’s other obsession — the Hope mannequin. The actress has taken viewers on quite the journey over the last six years. In her latest story, Hope has admitted that despite his many lies and machinations — she cares deeply for Thomas. Hope has cut ties to her past (and cut her hair, too!) as she explores this next chapter of her life. Bravo to Noelle for adding complexity to this legacy character. We can’t wait to see what she does next!
