For years, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Hope Logan has endured heartbreak, betrayal, and impossible choices, often reacting with extreme emotion. Whether she’s caught up in Liam’s pull, moved endlessly back and forth with Thomas, or has received unexpected declarations of love from Carter, her romantic life has been anything but stable.
As the soap ushers in a new era with a fresh, new studio home, fans wonder whether Hope will finally find lasting happiness or if she’s destined to repeat old patterns in love and loss, and Annika Noelle was on hand to address it.
Liam’s Back…and So Are the Feelings
In an interview with Michael Fairman TV, Noelle discussed the romantic complexities that Hope’s been caught up in. She revealed that with the imminent return of Matthew Atkinson as Thomas, “I’m excited to see where that leads. She’s been juggling things for a bit.” She reiterated that Hope had turned down Thomas’ marriage proposal because she was still rebounding from her divorce from Liam (Scott Clifton).
But when Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) proposed, she jumped at the chance. Noelle admitted that this is because “she immediately didn’t want to have another opportunity pass her by. So, she said ‘yes’ to Carter, and now Liam didn’t die!” Everyone thought Liam was dying from a brain tumor, but that turned out to be a scam perpetrated by Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech). But she and Liam started finding an attraction again when they shared their perceived grief.

Hope’s Love Life: A Comedy of Errors
So now Hope’s caught in a conundrum with three men to choose from. Noelle explained, “I think Hope’s going to have a lot of explaining to do soon. She’s got some deep thinking ahead of her.” Hope has been the queen of bad decisions, one of which was when she kissed Thomas in Italy and torpedoed her marriage to Liam.
Now that Liam’s not dying, and she’s got three potential suitors, Noelle remarked, “We’re going to hope for Hope that maybe this is a new leaf.” She then pondered the future of her character, noting, “Maybe she starts doing improv or comedy and, you know, makes good decisions in her love life.” While we can’t see her yucking it up on the stage, we can hope that Hope gets her act together.
