Many characters on The Bold and the Beautiful treat Carter as if he were a blank slate, with no mind of his own. The Forresters believe Hope had brainwashed him into taking over Forrester Creations, while Hope feels the family coerced him into giving it back. While Ridge and Steffy firmly feel Hope was the tiny devil on Carter’s shoulder that advised him to steal the company, they may not be completely wrong. When Carter finally explained to her that he ripped up the LLC papers that named him in charge of Forrester, her reaction spoke volumes.
She’ll Kick Him to the Curb
You could almost see what Hope (Annika Noelle) was thinking when Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) shared the news with her. Even though she didn’t say it out loud, her rage and unhappiness made it seem as if she were more concerned about how his actions were going to affect her. Her look of sheer horror and disbelief illustrated that she was afraid about the fate of Hope for the Future and she went apoplectic.
While Carter can clearly think for himself and mulls over advice he’s given, perhaps The Forresters were right in saying that she was pulling the strings for her own benefit. That being said, she and Cater may not be an item for very long if she doesn’t get what she wants. If Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has her way, Hope will be looking for a new job, and in turn, Hope will kick Carter to the curb because he outlived his usefulness.

She Almost Burst
Hope is most likely in self-preservation mode now, and any feelings she had for Carter will probably go by the wayside. She’s currently panicking and expecting to be tossed out, and her anger toward Carter is going to get worse before it gets better. Her face turned a livid red and her head looked like it was literally going to pop when he broke the news, so she’ll probably be taking her anger out on Carter at any minute.
But you never know. If the changes Carter made have helped Hope for the Future improve its numbers, then Eric (John McCook), Steffy, and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will have no choice but to keep Hope on board. Who knows, she could start skewing younger and go after Zende (Delon de Metz), putting a bug in his ear about her designs. (But, are Carter and Hope actually the perfect match?)
