You would think that when Hope saw Daphne and Carter kissing on The Bold and the Beautiful, she would have furiously confronted him. After all, he professed his love for Hope and she claimed to love him as well. What they don’t know is Daphne was secretly sent in by Steffy to undo Carter’s hold on Forrester Creations, and now the most famous nose in Europe finds herself attracted to him. Annika Noelle spoke out about Hope’s rather calm reaction to the whole thing.
She Wanted Him To Tell Her
Soap Opera Digest asked Noelle what her thoughts were on Hope not confronting Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) right away. Hope had been spying outside the main office and overheard Carter and Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) talking, and witnessed their kiss. After Daphne left, Hope calmly started to probe Carter about his “conversation,” waiting for him to reveal what happened.
The actress explained that Hope didn’t attack him right away because, “She kind of wanted to see if he would own up to it, see what he was willing to admit for himself before she goes in there guns blazing, telling him what she saw.” It took a little bit and she mentioned she saw them kiss, causing Carter to epically fail at trying to explain things.

He Doesn’t Know What He’s Feeling
Noelle further noted that because Hope was on a fishing expedition, stating, “It did feel a little bit like entrapment, where she was trying to get him to confess.” She also felt there was more to the story than a simple kiss, and we saw when Hope later ran across Daphne, who was packing her things up, she asked her if she was falling for Carter.
“I think he is very much conflicted about his emotions,” Noelle said. She went on to speculate that Carter himself may not even know what he was feeling in that moment and found it difficult to figure out exactly what he should have confessed to Hope. Noelle explained also that not only is Hope feeling betrayed by Carter, who supposedly had her back, but also by Daphne, whom she admired and respected.
