Once again, Brooke is trying to woo back Ridge on The Bold and the Beautiful. Considering the guy can never decide if he wants to be with her or Taylor, at some point, these two women must wake up and dump him once and for all. But for now, she’s giving it another college try. Thorsten Kaye recently revealed that he felt Ridge should be with Taylor, but Katherine Kelly Lang has other ideas about Brooke’s relationship with the fashion mogul.
Destiny’s Getting Old
Brooke has been saying quite a bit lately that despite Ridge being with Taylor (Rebecca Budig), she and he are destined to be together. On an episode of Bold Live, hosted by supervising producer, Casey Kasprzyk, Lang answered a fan question which asked if she felt that, “Brooke playing the Destiny card is really old and exhausting?”
“Yeah, it’s kind of a broken record sometimes,” Lang answered while chuckling. She added, “But what else does Brooke have to go back to? She believes in her heart so strongly that that is her destiny no matter what.” Well, Brooke had a chance when Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) took her on a date, but he’s now pushing up the daisies. So apparently, there are no other eligible guys left in Los Angeles.

Marriage: Yea or Nay?
Lang continued, admitting, “Yes, sometimes she has blinders on, but she won’t give up on that.” She further likened Brooke to “a dog with a bone, in that case, and she believes that Ridge is her destiny.” Kasprzyk asked when the whole ‘Destiny’ thing started with the soap couple, and Lang remarked that the concept was introduced nearly 38 years ago, which was early in the Bridge relationship.
Another fan asked if Lang thought Brooke would get married ever again, and the actress responded that she would prefer that her character “calm down” a bit and not get hitched right away. She remarked that at this stage of her life, Brooke and Ridge getting married wasn’t necessary, explaining, “As long as they have a nice relationship and they respect each other and love each other, I think that’s good enough.” (Check out some reasons why Brooke and Ridge shouldn’t reunite.)
