Carter felt in the way of Hope’s love life on The Bold and the Beautiful. Their relationship hasn’t even started, yet he’s wondering where he fits in. The characters don’t share any history, and that’s good. The Friday, October 11th episode reveals why.

No More Hope for ‘Lope’

Liam (Scott Clifton) surprised Hope (Annika Noelle) at the office with their daughter Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza). His younger brother Will (Crew Morrow) got into his head about reuniting with Hope. Liam asked Hope whether they had gone through everything just to divorce.

Hope told Liam that she wasn’t interested in getting back together. She already had a man who was completely devoted to her. However, she messed up that relationship. It’s caused her to feel lost and have feelings for Finn (Tanner Novlan). Still, Hope refuses to be with a man with a divided heart.

Hope and Liam agreed to remain friends, but he wanted her to know how he felt about her. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) walked in on the two hugging. He felt he had ruined another intimate moment between them.

No Baggage

Hope and Liam assured Carter nothing romantic was happening between them. After Liam left, Hope told Carter she didn’t want to return to her ex-husband and was not interested in repeating history.

Hope needs someone with whom she doesn’t share a history. That’s why her relationship with Carter could work. Hope and Carter were never in each other’s orbits, which means there’s no baggage.

This relationship will feel fresh and new. Also, Carter isn’t intimidated by Liam. He’s the complete opposite of Hope’s ex. He’s willing to pursue Hope and won’t waffle on his feelings for her.

What’s also hopeful is that Carter doesn’t have a dark past. Hope’s relationship with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was controversial because he was obsessed with her. Hope can finally experience a healthy relationship with a man who’s devoted to her. This is what she needs as she finds herself after divorce.
