The Daytime Emmy Awards aired live on Friday, June 24, 2022, but Soap Hub fans had the chance to vote this past week on which actors and shows they wanted to see take home the gold. Votes have been tallied and you can now find out the winners.

Daytime Emmy Awards — Your Winners

No one is more passionate about their favorites than soap opera fans, and while you don’t often get the chance to influence an awards show (except the Soap Hub Awards, of course!), we wanted to give you the chance to pick who you felt was the most deserving to win in each category — and over 40,000 votes were cast! Find out below who would win if you were in charge and see who the Television Academy picked.

Outstanding Drama Series
ABC’s General Hospital won top honors in this category, with over 37% of your votes.

Outstanding Directing Team for a Drama Series
This was even closer than writing as only 30 votes put The Young and the Restless over General Hospital to win!
WINNER — General Hospital

Congratulations to all of the winners as chosen by the viewers and the Academy. Check back after the ceremony when we compare how Soap Hub readers did versus what went down at the actual Daytime Emmy Awards.
