Steffy and Thomas wanted their family back together. However, that’s not happening since he loves Brooke. It’s clear they’re going to blame her for what happened. Fans want to see The Bold and the Beautiful tackle Thomas and Steffy’s childhood trauma.
Tackling Childhood Trauma
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) still have a lot of trauma from their parents not staying together. Both have blamed Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) for breaking up their family, while B&B fans think Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) should be to blame. (B&B viewers slam Ridge for putting Logans above his own family.)
The conversation started on a soap opera message board. The original poster started a thread with the following title: “I wish Steffy and Thomas’s childhood trauma can be addressed the RIGHT WAY!” The person explained why they want their parents back together.
They feel robbed of a childhood they never got to have. Even when Ridge and Taylor ended up together, Brooke was on the back burner, waiting for him to take her back. While they’re upset with Brooke for breaking up their family, they should also be mad at Ridge for allowing this turmoil to happen.
Thomas’s Wrath Justified?
When Thomas returned, he reserved most of his anger for Brooke. He laid his hands on her when he learned she had married her father again. The original poster noted that he should’ve reserved most of his anger towards his father rather than Brooke.
Fans love this idea. But they fear it won’t happen because Thomas and Steffy don’t ever blame their father for anything. Other fans would love for both of them to move on. (But B&B viewers aren’t convinced by Thomas’ sudden change of heart.)
“How long are they gonna carry that anger around? Forever. And why, because they have learned from the best how to keep living in the past of the coulda, shoulda, woulda….stuff happened. Life happened. At the end, Ridge had a decision to make, and guess what, we all know what he did,” one person concluded.
Is Taylor To Blame?
Some fans think Taylor, not Ridge, is to blame. She might’ve encouraged her kids to believe they would get back together one day. But even she knows the truth: Brooke is Ridge’s destiny.
“Steffy and Thomas have grown past their issues with wanting their parents together is basically because of Taylor,” one fan wrote.
