The Bold and the Beautiful has been leaning hard into family dynamics lately, with Eric Forrester right in the middle of Ridge’s personal tug-of-war. When Ridge thought Brooke betrayed him, he dumped her and a minute later proposed to Taylor. That hasn’t sat well with Eric, who feels his son belongs with Brooke, and has told Ridge as much. Father Knows Best…or Does He?
On B&B’s official Instagram page, the caption read, “Should Ridge listen to his father? 👀.” That was referring to the accompanying scene in which Eric (John McCook) tried to convince Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) to reunite with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). “She’s been incredibly patient for a very long time,” he said, adding, “That’s not going to go on forever, you know, one of these days, maybe sooner than you think, Brooke’s not gonna be there waiting for you any longer.”

One fan boldly stated, “I think Eric needs to mind his own business after 38 years.” Another viewer advised, “NO NO NOOO. Fans Double Down on Bridge
Co-star Jennifer Gareis, who plays Eric’s wife Donna, didn’t care about the Ridge/Brooke/Taylor flap and couldn’t help but chime in with, “Eric looks sooooooo handsome!! That outfit!! I love my sweet honey bear! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” But back to the fans, many agreed with Eric as another pointed out that it was Taylor who proposed to Ridge, who’s just with her out of pity, and concluded with, “The fact remains he truly loves Brooke, that’s the bottom line ❤️.”
