Steffy claims that she needs her mom. Despite being happily married and the co-CEO of a successful fashion brand, she’s happier when she has her mom living with her at the Cliff House. Some would say the ‘It’ girl of L.A. is a bit needy. But that could change. The Bold and the Beautiful star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood teased a new twist about Steffy’s relationship with her mother.

Working With AMC Alum

Rebecca Budig joined the cast as Dr. Taylor Hayes. She returned to Los Angeles to be closer to her family. Steffy is happy to have her mom back in her life. She wants her mom to live with her and her husband, Finn (Tanner Novlan).

Taylor has been keeping something from her daughter. She’s been struggling with a private health crisis. A European doctor told Taylor that she was dying from heart failure. But then she got a second opinion and learned that she had broken heart syndrome.

Meanwhile, Steffy doesn’t want to meddle in her parents’ lives. But she can’t help but see how much happier they are when they are together. She’s noticed that they’ve been spending a lot of time together.

In an interview with The TV Watercooler, MacInnes Wood shared her reaction to working with the All My Children alum. She feels that Budidg “gives a new spin to Taylor, which is fun.” Budig and MacInnes Wood’s characters bring out their strong bond.

Freaky Friday

During the interview, the actress shared her thoughts on Steffy’s relationship with her mother. Usually, Steffy needs her mom around. She’s been through a lot in the past year alone.

She thought she almost killed Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), and she was locked up by Luna (Lisa Yamada). However, it could be Taylor who needs her daughter this time around. MacInnes Wood teased that Steffy’s reaction to Taylor’s diagnosis is a “mixture of feelings.”

“But yeah, at the moment, it’s kind of a switch [for the two]. They’ll switch roles, and Steffy has to be the mama bear [to her own mother] in that situation,” MacInnes Wood teased. This teaser suggests that Steffy and Taylor will have their own Freaky Friday moment. Steffy will have to step up and be there for her mom.

Meanwhile, Taylor will lean on her daughter as she heals from her broken heart. After her earth-shattering chakra session, she claims she finally moved on from Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Will Steffy be there to pick up the broken pieces? There’s no doubt for this mother-and-daughter duo.
