The Wednesday, January 22 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful explored some important discussions. Steffy wanted to know more about Finn’s thoughts on his divorced parents. Steffy went through something similar with her parents. Yet, these two couldn’t be anymore different when it comes to their families.
The Perfect Family
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hasn’t outgrown her dreams of having her parents get back together. Yes, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has an undivided heart. However, Steffy still feels that her father is better off with her mom. She still has high hopes that they could all be a happy family again.

Steffy doesn’t care about her father’s waffling ways. For some reason, that doesn’t bother her. She believes that her mom deserves a man like Ridge, even though he comes with many flaws. Steffy has her rose-colored glasses on when it comes to her parents. She can’t see how toxic this relationship is. All that matters to her is her childish wish of having the perfect family.

A Realistic Approach
Finn (Tanner Novlan) is more realistic. He revealed on Wednesday’s episode that he has no desires for his parents to get back together. He can’t get past the hurt that his father caused his mother. Finn said something that very few adult children say on this show. He believes that his mother deserves better.
Steffy could learn from Finn. She should wake up and realize that her mom deserves better as well. Taylor (Rebecca Budig) always ends up as Ridge’s second choice. And yet, Steffy can’t see that. She just wants her parents back together because to her, that means the Forresters won.
But Finn isn’t that kind of person. He’s not trying to win any games. However, that won’t stop Steffy for pushing for Finn’s parents to get back together. She only likes how it looks in theory. This little detail reveals they don’t have the same opinion when it comes to divorce and infidelity.
