Darin Brooks shared an update on his actor’s life after The Bold and the Beautiful. Earlier this year, he said goodbye to his character Wyatt Spencer. Brooks has since turned to greener pastures. He just wrapped up filming the Blue Mountain State sequel.
Go Team USA!
Brooks was granted leading man status on B&B until Wyatt became a side character. Fans miss seeing the hunk on the small screen. The CBS alum showed off his goofy side.
He posted a group of himself with the “Team USA” crew from the set of Blue Mountain State. Brooks stood in the center with his arms crossed. All of them wore matching navy blue track jackets.
Brooks announced that he shot his final scene for the Blue Mountain State sequel, which happens to be another film. Normally, actors are emotional when filming their final shot, but not for this gang. They couldn’t stop laughing in between takes. Spirits were high despite the film coming to an end.
“Man… Last day of filming with all these incredibly talented, legendary, crazy a** kids!!!” Brooks wrote in the caption. “We seriously laughed our friggin a**es off, all day every day, and I couldn’t think of a better group of people to work with!!!
He teased that the new movie is “coming soon.” The Blue Mountain State series premiered on Spike TV in 2010. It lasted for three seasons before Netflix acquired it.
The sequel film starring Brooks, Alan Rithson, and Chris Romano is expected to stream on Amazon. Blue Mountain State is about a college football team that learns how to balance athletic life with college life.
B&B fans hoped that Brooks would return to soaps in some form. Rumors swirled that Wyatt would end up in Genoa City and whisk Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) off her feet once again. But instead, Brooks has been busy filming Blue Mountain State.
He’s been sharing plenty of footage from the film. The last made-for-TV movie he appeared in was Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland in 2016.
