In the Tuesday, May 21 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy enjoyed breaking some news to Brooke. She told her that her daughter may have lost her mind since she’s, apparently, buying the Kool-Aid that Sheila’s a changed woman. Meanwhile, Hope and Finn engaged in Compliment Fest 2024 and a bit of hypocrisy. As for Sheila, she gave her son the hard sell on attending her wedding. What will Finn decide?
Whoa — what was that between Hope (Annika Noelle) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) at the hospital today? The compliments flew furiously between Hope and Finn. Finn called Hope special and told her that any man — should she want one — would be lucky to be with her. Meanwhile, Hope countered by saying Steffy was lucky to have a man like Finn. (Find out what happened yesterday on B&B)
That is when they weren’t talking about their parents, acknowledging how much they had in common, or engaging in another round of massage therapy. Did Hope have a moment during Finn’s second treatment of her stress headaches? It really felt like she suddenly had an epiphany and that maybe she started seeing the good yet delusional doctor in a new light.
Getting the hypocrisy award today: Finn. We already know he has nothing good to say about Thomas (Matthew Atkinson — who’s back taping). Once again, he told Hope that Thomas wasn’t good enough for her. He was one of the sources of her stress headaches and suggested that he would be better off with anyone who wasn’t Thomas.
Meanwhile, the sole reason he will attempt to stay away from his birth mom’s wedding to Deacon is due to Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) ultimatum. From his POV, he actually thinks that Sheila’s a changed woman. In fact, he thinks that because Sugar held her captive and claimed she allegedly fought to protect his family, she’s done the work.
However, Thomas, in his eyes, will never change. It doesn’t matter that he’s had therapy. He attempts to tame the darkness inside him in all situations, including when Finn learned about Emma’s (Nia Sioux) suspicious death. Or even that he has supported Hope at work and in her life. It was only after a second rejection of his proposal that he broke up with her and left town. How can Finn accept Sheila has changed and not Thomas?
Deacon and Sheila live in La La Land at Il Giardino. They’re happy, getting married, and believe that they can have both kids at their wedding. While this is exactly what will probably happen, why is it so necessary for Hope and Finn to be there? If they were truly happy, couldn’t they just say “I Do” alone?
Why give Finn the hard sell on attending the wedding and being Deacon’s best man? If Sheila genuinely had her son’s best interest at heart, wouldn’t she understand why he couldn’t attend? Sure, it would be upsetting, but isn’t that what parents do? They sacrifice for their kids. Finn standing up for Deacon at Sheila’s wedding will mean the end of his marriage to Steffy. Sheila knows her son being at her wedding would damage Finn and Steffy’s relationship. The question is: Does she care? (Find out what goes on between Sheila and Finn tomorrow)
