There’s no shortage of drama in Los Angeles these days — at least on-screen. Between Luna’s shocking antics and Brooke saying “I do” to Ridge (again!), The Bold and the Beautiful has been delivering its trademark mix of romance and fireworks. Off-screen, supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk has been keeping busy in a different way. He’s been the face of Bold Live for fans, and now, he’s giving everyone a laugh with a lighthearted social media story that proved even soap pros can get caught in generational whiplash.
Saturday Story Time
Kasprzyk posted a video on Instagram with the caption: “Saturday story time – one minute I’m young, the next ancient! I’ll never delete my AOL email. 😆.” In the clip, he stated, “Okay, happy Saturday, everybody. I’m out, shopping. I did some grocery shopping at Target, and I needed some wine, of course, it’s Saturday, and when I checked out, she needed my ID to verify my age…” From there, he explained how he went from feeling young to feeling old at Office Depot afterward, where he signed up for a store membership.
The funniest part came when the cashier looked puzzled. “And when I gave her my email, I said aol.com, and she kind of looked at me, and then she said, ‘Can you spell that?’ And I said, ‘You’ve never heard of AOL?’ Right.” After sighing, he noted, “So one place I’m young, the other place I’m very old.” His deadpan delivery and the perturbed look on his face were hilarious. Fans Relate — and Roast
Soap alums and fans alike flooded the comments with laughter. Co-star Rebecca Budig (Taylor) responded, “Omg. Hilarious. That’s like me with a Hotmail account.” Romy Park (Poppy) also chimed in with, “😂😂😂 next time say ‘AOL is spelled P, U, Z…’ ” And Jennifer Gareis (Donna) also reacted with the same crying-laughing emojis. Even alum Ingo Rademacher (Thorne) dropped a simple string of laughing emojis, while Kato Kaelin hilariously responded, “AOL RULES!!! 🔥🔥.”
One fan joked that paying cash these days gets the same strange reaction, while another quipped, “You should have asked her if she could sell you some stamps. That really gets their heads spinning!” Others swore they’re still holding onto their AOL accounts too, insisting it’s “vintage” and bound to make a comeback. If nothing else, Kasprzyk proved what B&B fans already know: age is just a number — and sometimes, a hilarious punchline. (Learn how Kasprzyk proved that even soap producers can geek out.)
