Carter rewrote his dating history on the September 30th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. He compared notes with Hope as they flirted about lingerie.
Swearing Off Office Romances
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Hope (Annika Noelle) flirted in Monday’s episode. It all started when Carter shared his provocative idea for Hope for the Future.
He advised that it would be a great idea for her to pose in lingerie, especially after the success of Brooke’s Bedroom Line. Arguably, what lent to the success of Brooke’s line is that she became the face of the brand. She empowered other older women to embrace their sexuality.
Hope could tell this was Carter’s way of trying to see her in lingerie. Their flirtation led to a conversation about their past romances. Hope said it was nice for someone to want to see her in her unmentionables. It’s been a while since someone’s felt this way about her.
Carter admitted his past romances didn’t work out. He had a smoldering romance with Quinn Foster (Rena Sofer) but claimed their “office romance” wasn’t a big deal. Carter was the one who convinced Quinn to leave her husband. Katie (Heather Thompson) is also now a blimp on his radar, even though they connected at one point.
Hope shared that her romance with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) didn’t end as anticipated. What drove him away was that she rejected his proposal. Hope has a fear of committing.
This could be the case if she ends up with Carter. Someone’s going to end up with hurt feelings. Carter is usually the rebound in his romances. On the flip side, it’s also possible that Carter’s the one who’s played with these women’s hearts.
Is Carter a Player?
Carter claimed that he had no interest in another office romance. But that hasn’t stopped him from stealing glances with Hope, even with Eric Forrester (John McCook) in the room. Carter could serve as the perfect distraction for Hope.
He’s also the total package. He’s good-looking, charming, and committed. Carter is the dream package. So, what’s wrong with him? Why is he so unlucky in love? It can’t just be the excuse that office romances don’t work.
Is it because he’s a player? Carter treated Heather and Quinn as if they were a blip in his dating history. He could do the same with Hope. Of course, she could be the one to play with Carter’s heart since she was so fickle with Thomas.
