Brayan Nicoletti’s B&B Journey Revealed
In an interview with TV Insider, Nicoletti talked about his journey to the CBS soap. It started with a tape that he submitted to the show, which led to an in-person audition with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) and Laneya Grace (Electra Forrester). In fact, Kaye was much like the fatherly figure he plays on the show.
“Thorsten really took me under his wing, and both of them were incredible,” Nicoletti shared. “And then the next day, my agents called me and told me that they wanted to cast me.”
Nicoletti is stepping into the role previously held by Joshua Hoffman, who left in 2024. At the time, R.J. navigated his new life outside of his ex, Luna (Lisa Yamada), who turned out to be a vindictive murderer. On the Thursday, January 15 episode, the character will return home to Los Angeles amid the fashion wars.
As for the actor, he subconsciously manifested this when he wrote about it in his journal. However, he wasn’t certain that he would get it, as the audition process can take months.
“I was actually journaling about the audition when I got the call, so it was very unexpected. I didn’t know how long it would take to hear back from them, and the rest of the day, I was on top of the world,” Nicoletti exclaimed.
Getting His Priorities Straight
R.J. kind of lost his place when he was last on the show. Nicoletti looked back at his history and got a clear picture of his present-day life. “He’s grown into this man who’s really trying to figure out what he values and where his priorities should be,” he explained.
Currently, R.J. is focused on his family’s legacy, which could be at risk of falling apart. Eric (John McCook) could end his brief retirement to work for Katie’s (Heather Tom) fashion house.
Meanwhile, R.J. is drawing lines in the Spencer-Forrester feud. Nicoletti promises to “bring a new energy” to the character that B&B viewers have not yet seen. For now, his “main goal” is to bring some truth to R.J. Forrester. What does R.J. have up his sleeve?
