The miracle of Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan’s survival on The Bold and the Beautiful wasn’t complete until the good doctor and his beautiful bride Steffy Forrester Finnegan were reunited! Finn and Steffy’s portrayers, Tanner Novlan and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, recently dropped by The Talk to preview the moment ‘Sinn’ fans were longing to see happen and got a small taste of on Monday!
“Steffy is heartbroken,” sets up Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, explaining her character’s current emotional state given that the love of her life was so cruelly ripped from her, Kelly, and her son Hayes’s world – or so she thought. “She’s grieving and has to try to move on with her life and heal. She can’t be in Los Angeles any longer. Everything reminds her of Finn. So, she decided to go away to Monte Carlo – a beautiful place – and move on the best way she can.”
“It’s nice to see that Steffy’s mourning [as] usually she takes off with another man,” Tanner Novlan quipped on The Talk. “I think Finn’s like, ‘I gotta get to Steffy in a hurry!'” Joking aside, Finn’s portrayer hastens to add, “their love is so deep and so connected. I think they have a really mature relationship. [Finn’s] doing everything he can to get back to his family.”
Viewers got to see the beginning of the actual reunion at the end of Monday’s episode, but both Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and Tanner Novlan promises that it will not disappoint. “It’s going to be epic,” the actor says. “I think this [scene] will be one of the ones they play on the highlight reels [for years to come].”
“It’s romantic [and] passionate,” Wood adds. “There are going to be real emotions. The ‘Sinn’ fans are going to be very excited.” The Talk host Sheryl Underwood, who recurs on B&B as Emmy, Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) executive assistant, has one request for the couple when it comes to their reunion. “Don’t tear the clothes off,” Underwood playfully requested. “Take it slow. We’ve been waiting for this!”
Viewers probably would be fine if the anticipated Finn/Steffy event were to take place against a black cloth drop; B&B, however, has pulled out all the stops and shot the big moment in beautiful Monte Carlo. The show traveled there earlier this year for the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, so count on the location to be breathtaking. “It’s so amazing [that] we get to film there,” Wood says. “It’s truly, truly special.”
Novlan says one of the big perks of the trip was getting to meet Prince Albert of Monaco. “I was a little nervous,” the actor says. He admits to wondering, “Do you bow?” Answering his own question, Novlan adds, “No, you shake his hand. He was cool.”
