B&B Star Katherine Kelly Lang Has Her Own Store in Beverly Hills

Katherine Kelly Lang’s Brooke Logan turned into a businesswoman on The Bold and the Beautiful after she assumed control of Forrester Creations. She infused the company with new, profitable ideas including the Men’s Line and Brooke’s Bedroom. Now, life is imitating art!

Katherine Kelly Lang Talks Opening Her Benheart Store

Lang and her beau Dominique Zoida own and operate Benheart, a clothing store featuring leather goods in Beverly Hills. Soap Hub recently chatted with Lang, who is celebrating 35 years as B&B’s Brooke Logan Forrester.

Soap Hub: How did you come to launch your store, Benheart, in Beverly Hills?
Katherine Kelly Lang: Our friend, Ben, who created the brand lives in Florence. We had become friends with him. Before COVID, we’d go to Italy a lot. We talked to him about bringing his brand to America. So, Dom and I opened up the first Benheart store in Beverly Hills with his brand. It’s our store, but it has all of his products. He has eight stores in Europe and wanted to expand to the United States. We helped do that.

Soap Hub: How active are you in the store, the products?
Katherine Kelly Lang: Dom and I do everything. Everything. We have one assistant. We chose what to bring into the store. We have built an amazing customer base that shops over and over with us. We’ve created this ‘Benheart family’ through Instagram. We do live stories. Sometimes I do them, but Dom does them mostly as I have my job on B&B! People will come into the store and we help them shop. It’s not just people who come to the store. We expanded through social media once COVID hit.

Soap Hub: How does it feel to shift into a business mode — like Brooke did?
Katherine Kelly Lang: I’ve always done little side things here and there with clothing. It’s not new, but once I get it going, I’m like [laughs] ‘Why are we doing this?’ Because it’s a lot of work. We’re still learning new things every day. There’s involvement with people, our customers, the one-on-one interactions. That’s what’s exciting about it. It’s exciting to reach a lot of people around the world. There are actually a lot of people who [both] watch the show and who shop at Ben Heart.

Soap Hub: Which products do you like?
Katherine Kelly Lang: I have about 10 Benheart jackets in my closet. They sometimes make a limited run. I have some of the [hand] bags. One of my favorite [Ben Heart] boots comes up to the knee and is suede. I have brown fringe boots that I love, too. My closet is full of Benheart items. I’m a Benheart junkie myself.
