B&B Star Becomes Embroiled In Attempted Murder Plot

Roxanne Doucette of Townsend, Massachusetts faces an attempted murder charge because investigators claim a person pretending to be Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge on The Bold and the Beautiful, urged her to poison her husband.

Thorsten Kaye: Beware of Imposters

According to WCVB-TV in Boston, Nicole Heath shared with police that she saw suspicious texts on her mother’s (Roxanne Doucette) phone that indicated she might have poisoned her father, Paul Doucette, who was in the hospital.

According to authorities, there was a message from “Thorsten” Kaye that read: “You have to get rid of your husband honey. I need you so much.” Later, Roxanne Doucette, according to police reports, replied: “Making an amazing soup. Special potion. He will be hungry when he gets back. Just enough for him.”

A follow-up from Roxanne Doucette read: “Hubby got back not feeling well. Maybe I can collect life insurance.” She later called 911, saying that her husband became unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital. A police report says that Paul stated that the soup his wife made for him “tasted bitter.”

Roxanne Doucette admitted to texting someone claiming to be Kaye and that she’d been scammed out of $8,000. Roxanne reportedly refused to turn over her iPhone and iPad. When police attempted to take her into custody, she kicked an officer in the crotch. She was charged with intimidation of a witness, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. She’s also facing an attempted murder charge.

“I would never try to poison anybody. I mean, I did daycare for 15 years. I had a licensed daycare. I’ve done nursing and I have taken care of people,” Roxanne Doucette said. “I would not hurt anyone…[‘Thorsten’] was saying that they loved me and they wanted me to leave my husband, but I had no intentions of leaving my husband. I love my husband very much.”
