Nick’s (Jack Wagner) and Bridget’s (Ashley Jones) love story began in 2005. Like many B&B couples, they endured drama and heartache, including the death of their baby daughter, Nicole. The couple’s main issue was Nick’s unresolved feelings for Bridget’s mother, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Although Nick would later marry Brooke, he and Bridget always found their way back to each other.
Nick and Bridget married three times, and their final split was due to Bridget’s infidelity. Bridget’s affair with Owen (Brandon Beemer) led to the conception of their son, Logan. A heartbroken Nick divorced Bridget, who then left town shortly after Logan’s birth.
Although the couple has long since broken up, fans and Jones haven’t forgotten Nick and Bridget’s love story. During a recent Q&A on her Instagram story, the actress was asked about her favorite thing about Nick and Bridget.
“There was real chemistry,” Jones replied. “It was like, there was real chemistry there. You can’t fake it, you can’t pry it, you can’t create it. It happens or it doesn’t happen. It was real, and so it worked for a really, really long time.”
Nick’s recent return has been centered around Brooke, with no mention or interactions with Bridget. But that hasn’t stopped fans from wanting the show to address his past with Bridget.
Since Bridget’s back in Los Angeles, perhaps she’ll run into Nick the next time he sails into town. Who knows, maybe the exes will recapture the magic they once had.
