Ronn Moss is known for more than being Ridge on The Bold and the Beautiful for 25 years. The accomplished singer recently appeared as himself in a classic re-airing of a Nurses Ball episode on General Hospital.
Ronn Moss The Singing Sensation
He appeared with the band Player (which has since split up into two different groups) and performed their No. 1 hit Baby Come Back at the 2014 talent show that’s been a part of GH since 1994.
Player was a substitute for Blackie Parrish (John Stamos), who was apparently scheduled to perform. Spencer’s grandmother, Dr. Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander), arranged for Moss to sing at the ball upon her grandson’s request. Spencer was thrilled, hoping the performance would convince Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) to dump Cameron Webber (Michael Leone) and return to him.
The GH writers couldn’t help but toss in a BB reference given Moss’s long tenure on the half-hour soap. “I regret that but I had to do something ‘bold and beautiful’ to try to make up with you,” Spencer said to Emma in response to Cameron saying that the Cassadine heir had ruined his and Emma’s tango.
After Player’s performance, Moss chatted with Spencer backstage, explaining he’d do anything for Lesley, whom he described as a real ‘peach.’ Members of Player gave Spencer guitar picks as a keepsake of their encounter.
Now, Moss has released a new performance. He’s covering the song Nothing Compares 2 U, composed and recorded by the late Prince. Later, Sinéad O’Connor covered the song in 1990, taking the tune to new heights of popularity.
“Feeling the intensity of emotions from family and friends during this sensitive time made me want to do this cover written by legendary Prince dedicated to our world,” Moss wrote. Check out his rendition in the post below. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
