Brooke Logan Forrester’s father has been played by two familiar faces on The Bold and the Beautiful. Actors Robert Pine (CHiPs) and Patrick Duffy (Dallas) have each portrayed Stephen Logan. What many may not know is that Brooke’s portrayer, Katherine Kelly Lang, also has a famous dad.
Katherine Kelly Lang: Remembering Her Dad
Lang’s father is the late Keith Wegeman. He didn’t play a character on a primetime drama like Pine and Duffy, but he was both an Olympian and was known to millions for his run as a statuesque spokesman on commercials for frozen vegetables.
“Happy Father’s Day to my dad Keith Wegeman,” Lang recently posted on Instagram in honor of Father’s Day. “If any of you remember the Jolly Green Giant commercials many years ago, well, he was the one and only Jolly Green Giant. He would come home from filming a commercial and still painted green and wrestle us and call us kids his ‘little sprouts.’
“He also was a top ski jumper and he competed in the Olympics in 1952,” Wegeman’s daughter proudly continued. “He taught us all to ski when we were 3 years old. We would go skiing every weekend at Mammoth Mountain. He passed away at an early age from colon cancer. He was 46. I do miss him and think about him often. I support and help @cancersupporthq because of my experience with this. #happyfathersday #jollygreengiant #cancersupportcommunity.”

Many of Lang’s followers chimed in with responses to the actress’s post, including some names familiar to soap fans. Ronn Moss’ (ex-Ridge) wife, Devin Devasquez, posted, “Ho ho green giant! He’s very handsome.”
Daniel Goddard (ex-Cane, The Young and the Restless) observes that Lang’s pop looks quite like three-time Emmy-winner Peter Bergman (Jack, YR). “And is it me…” Goddard posted, “but he and Peter Bergman look like twins!”
