Sally Spectra lying about her illness is congruous with her scrappy character if you think about it. The Bold and the Beautiful fashionista, played by Courtney Hope, has had to fight for what she wants in life, after all.
Courtney Hope Reflects
In real-life, Hope takes a different approach from her The Bold and the Beautiful character Sally. Instead of lying to those around her, she looks within herself, asking important questions that enable her to grow as a person.
“Been thinking a lot about the importance of loving your body for all it is, what it can do for you and all that it’s been through,” Hope muses on Instagram. “It’s vital to take care of it at all times and be proud of what it looks like through the constant pursuit of life’s ups and downs. 💕💕
“Our bodies tell a story, teach us about where we’ve been and where we want or need to go,” she continues. “Our bodies are constantly transforming, especially as we age, and I know mine has been changing a lot lately. Prioritizing self-love, self-care and support, patience and understanding, and healthy fuel for your mind, body, and soul is the key to a well-balanced life.
“Sometimes it’s not about asking ‘why’ is my body doing ‘this’ now, or when did that new wrinkle or new grey hair get there, or why can’t I look like I used to,” Hope ponders, “but finding appreciation for the destination that is ‘NOW’ and make a partnership with ourselves to accept us, unconditionally, as we are. I believe this is the start of comfort within ourselves and a genuine respect for who we’ve grown to be. Our bodies are our homes for the rest of our lives, so let’s inspire each other to make it one we are proud and honored to live in.
“Be kind to yourself,” Courtney Hope concludes, “and know you have the ability to accomplish anything you set your mind to.” The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
