It’s Brooke Logan Forrester week on The Bold and the Beautiful, but her daughter Bridget is getting in on the action, too. In today’s episode, Brooke and Nick get married, but mother-in-law Jackie thinks that Bridget (Ashley Jones) may be the right woman for her son!
“Well, well, well,” Ashley Jones posted on Instagram. “…@boldandbeautifulcbs is airing CLASSIC Brooke Logan episodes and this one airs [today], Thursday 21st. Anyone remember why Bridget was in shock here? One of the many reasons I love this character is because of her complicated relationship with her mother (yet fiercely loyal). Pictured here is not my mom, however.
“I’m standing next to Jackie (Lesley-Anne Down), my mother-in-law (I think Nick and Bridget were already married once? Can’t remember, there were 4-5 attempts). We’re watching my mom marry Nick, my ex whom I still loved, and Jackie’s son 😢, therefore making my mom her daughter-in-law, too. Jackie’s husband [Owen, Brandon Beemer] would later become my baby daddy, but that’s a different storyline. #likemotherlikedaughter #clasicsoap SET YOUR DVRs. #boldandbeautiful.”
During one of Nick and Bridget’s wedding attempts, at the Forrester mansion, Brooke and Jackie forced Stephanie (Susan Flannery) to interrupt the proceedings to confess that she’d lied about having had a heart attack. The news of her attack prompted Ridge (then-Ronn Moss; now-Thorsten Kaye) to dump Brooke and choose Taylor (Hunter Tylo) instead.
Stephanie came clean after telling her family that she deeply lamented having her life thrown into turmoil. First, Brooke tried to marry Ridge and when that didn’t work, she went off and wed Steph’s ex, Eric (John McCook). Despite having two babies with him — Rick (Jacob Young) and Bridget — Brooke was always drawn to Ridge. Losing him to Taylor didn’t deter Brooke from her destiny.
Stephanie eventually confessed she lied about having a heart attack, but by this point there was too much tension in the air. Nick and Bridget’s wedding was called off. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
