The Bold and the Beautiful: Liam Confessing to Hope Was His Only Move

Bill Spencer be damned. The Bold and the Beautiful’s Liam made the absolute right decision defying his father’s orders and coming clean to Hope about his role in Vinny’s death. Confessing to his wife was his only move and, perhaps, the smartest one Liam has ever made.

The Honesty Policy

Liam (Scott Clifton) has spent years keeping secrets and lying to Hope (Annika Noelle), and it always resulted in the same outcome: disaster. It’s refreshing to know that he’s finally learned from his mistakes. He’s seen the light and realized that honesty is the best policy when it comes to sustaining a relationship.

With the truth about Vinny’s death out in the open, there’s nothing hanging over the couple’s head. Liam’s let Hope in on the awful night that has been haunting him. It’s a huge load off of his mind and a big first step in him moving past it.

Needing Her Strength

Handling this secret alone was eating away at Liam. Yes, Bill (Don Diamont) knew and orchestrated the cover-up of Vinny’s demise, but he couldn’t offer Liam the emotional support he desperately needed to get through this. It’s just not in Bill.

Hope can. There’s no more understanding, forgiving, and compassionate woman in all of daytime. Also, Hope truly believes in Liam and loves him with her whole heart. She always sees the good in him and has the capacity to make him see the good in himself. If anyone can make Liam come to terms with the fact that Vinny’s death was simply an unfortunate accident and forgive himself for what transpired, it’s Hope. She has the capacity to save him.

Prepare for the Worst

What happens next remains to be seen. Bill’s likely going to have to take the fall for orchestrating a cover-up. Liam could be charged with a hit-and-run for leaving the scene of a crime or, worst-case scenario, manslaughter.

Yet, with Hope by his side, he’ll be able to face all of it. He’ll find strength through Hope’s strength, her love and support guiding him through whatever transpires.
