The Bold and the Beautiful Gets a Brand-New Baby Kelly

Ironically, Steffy on The Bold and the Beautiful wanted her daughter Kelly to have a sister, which ignited the whole baby Beth kidnapping drama on BB. Now, technically, Kelly’s got that sister Steffy wanted her to have… at least off-camera!

Meet The New The Bold and the Beautiful Twins

Real-life twins Avalon and Colette Carlish have taken over the part of Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) daughter. The Zuri Agency proudly announced the casting news on Twitter. The twins’ first appearance as Kelly was last week.

“Meet baby Kelly!” the Zuri Agency tweeted. “Joining the cast of The Bold and The Beautiful is Avalon and Colette Carlish. They did fantastic on their first episode! You can also catch them recurring in the current season of Grey’s Anatomy! @BandB_CBS.”

Previously, the role of Kelly had been portrayed by Zoe Pennington and Gabriel Sporman. Creating the next generation is integral to future storylines on soaps. Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) first three pregnancies — a child she lost with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Rick (Jacob Young) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) with Eric (John McCook) fueled storylines for years. Babies on soaps help fuel conflicts related to paternity and custody.

Currently, Liam is trying to divide his time between daughters Kelly and Beth so that he can be a supportive dad to both of them. Traditionally, soaps tend to age young characters once they hit the age of 10.

They’ll be off the canvas for a bit and then return (often from boarding school) as teenagers ready to take on full storylines of their own! But baby Kelly and baby Beth are far, far away from that happening!
