Jacob Young celebrates another turn around the sun.
Though it’s been some time since Jacob Young was seen onscreen in the daytime, the actor/singer remains very busy – a feat worth celebrating, just as today’s milestone is.
And that’s because he was born on September 10, 1979, in Renton, Washington, which means that this talented fan favorite is turning 44 years old today! Young began his career as legacy character Rick Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful, a role that he embodied between December 31, 1997, and September 15, 1999, and again between September 2011 and 2018.
In 2001, Young was tapped to replace Jonathan Jackson in the role of General Hospital’s Lucky Spencer, yet another legacy character. He remained in the part for three years. Soon after, he joined the cast of All My Children where he played JR Chandler, son of stalwart character Adam Chandler, from October 1, 2003, to September 23, 2011.
Young’s other acting credits include the episodes of the mini-series The Beach Boys: An American Family, Hope & Faith, One Life to Live (JR Chandler), Days of our Lives (Kinsey), The Young and the Restless (as Rick Forrester), and Beacon Hill.
Young has also appeared in a number of made-for-TV movies including Killer Vacation, Christmas Made to Order, When Vows Break, and The Road Home for Christmas. His feature film roles include The Girl Next Door and Psycho Granny. Back in 2021, he joined the final season of The Walking Dead.
Aside from his acting, Young is known for his singing ability. He released a self-titled CD on September 11, 2001, and in 2006, he combined his love of singing and acting by appearing in the Broadway production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He played Lumiere, the candelabra/castle maître d’.
