Naomi Matsuda is back for another appearance as Li Finnegan. Look for Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan’s) mother to air on Wednesday, January 18. There has been so much going on thanks to Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) being freed from jail because of Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) machinations. Will Li learn that Bill threatened her with jail time too if Finn didn’t go along with not testifying against Sheila? Bill had shown a seldom-seen tender sign when he helped Li recover from her near-death experience so, she may be stunned to see he’s now siding with Sheila.
Matsuda joined Bold and the Beautiful in the summer of 2021 to attend Finn and Steffy’s wedding. That’s when Sheila made her presence known once again, revealing she was Finn’s biological mother. Li’s marriage to Jack Finnegan (Ted King) fell apart after Jack confessed that he was Finn’s biological dad courtesy of a fling with Sheila.
Both Matsuda and King were nominated for Daytime Emmys in 2022 in the category of Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for their respective roles on Bold and the Beautiful. King took home the gold. Stay tuned to see what brings Li back to the canvas for this visit!
