The Bold and the Beautiful Star Ashleigh Brewer Joins New Soap

Ashleigh Brewer recently left her four-year role on The Bold and the Beautiful–and for a very good reason. The fan favorite actress has landed a role on another drama that’s going to take her far and away away from her Forrester family.

DigitalSpy reports that Brewer has joined the cast of Australian series Home and Away as Chelsea.

Little is known about her new character, but Brewer teased that Chelsea is a police officer who will be delivering, unfortunately, some bad news.

This isn’t Aussie natives first soap down under. Previously, she’d been on the series Neighbours.

The actress first joined B&B in 2014 as Ivy Forrester, the daughter of Eric’s (John McCook) brother John.

Brewer wasn’t asked to disguise her Australian accent and the show explained that Ivy had one because John had remarried after splitting from Maggie (Barbara Crampton). He wed Claire, an Australian woman,  who was Ivy’s mom.

During Brewer’s stay on B&B, Ivy has had romances with both Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Quinn (Rena Sofer) capitalized on Liam’s growing feelings for Ivy and pushed her into the Seine in France to prevent Liam from sharing a romantic reunion with Hope (then Kim Matula, now Annika Noelle).

Liam’s romantic pursuit of Hope was derailed, allowing Ivy and Liam to get closer when they traveled to Amsterdam. There, Ivy and Liam professed their love for one another, but over time, he was drawn back to Hope.

Being a native of Australian, Ivy was able to play tour guide to her family when they traveled down under for the dual weddings of Liam and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Although only one ceremony initially went off without a hitch, Ivy, now sporting a new blond hairdo, was in attendance at Ridge and Brooke’s recent nuptials.
