The Bold and the Beautiful Alum Pierson Fodé Preps for Battle In New Film

There have been tragedies on sets involving firearms so, it’s important that actors receive proper training in handling any weaponry. Fortunately, Pierson Fodé, formerly Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful, is getting such instruction for an upcoming role.

Pierson Fodé Preps for Battle

“Such an honor getting trained by a legend like @theredeployed for #manfromtoronto in the house of legends @afstunts – #grinddontstop・・・,” Fodé recently posted on Instagram. “Great couple of weeks training at the Action Factory!”

Fodé’s film, The Man From Toronto, stars Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), Kevin Hart (Ride Along), and Fodé. The logline for the film is: “The world’s deadliest assassin and New York’s biggest screw-up are mistaken for each other at an Airbnb rental.”

Could Fodé be the assassin? Or is he a lawman trying to fulfill justice? Viewers are going to have to see the film next year to find out. Either way, it looks like Fodé’s character will be packing a pistol, and he’ll know just how to use it!

Jack Nevils, whose company, The Redeployed, is instructing Fodé on how to use a weapon expertly, served for a quarter of a century in active military, including two years as an Airborne Ranger in the 1st Ranger Battalion, then, he spent 23 years in the Special Forces (Green Berets). He retired in 2013 as a Sergeant Major, which is the highest enlisted rank in the U.S. Army.

BB fans recall two major storylines when guns were worked into the show’s 33-year history. In 1988, an inebriated Thorne (then, Clayton Norcross) shot Ridge (then, Ronn Moss; now, Thorsten Kaye) in the head after overhearing that Ridge had crept into bed with Thorne’s wife Caroline (Joanna Johnson) as a “prank” but then the two ended up having sex. Ridge survived the bullet wound and Thorne (then, Jeff Trachta), who had blocked the incident from his mind, recalled what he’d done and had a dramatic showdown with his brother.

Years later, there was more gunfire in a story in which Storm Logan (William deVry) shot Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery). Further tragedy ensued when Katie (Heather Tom) was accidentally shot, resulting in her needing a new heart. Storm made a sacrifice and took his own life so that his sister could have his heart. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
