On today’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Taylor Hayes’s mood caused considerable concern amongst her loved ones, new and old.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) told Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) exactly what she thinks of him — and none of it was particularly complimentary. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Taylor Hayes Just Isn’t Herself
In the solitude of her beach house, Taylor (Krista Allen) continued penning her confession-filled missive. To be clear, she shot Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). She did that. She’s sorry, but she did do it.
Suddenly, Taylor’s prose began to take on a seriously disconcerting air, and was punctuated with her desire to “end it all.” Then out came a bottle of pills from which Taylor selected a palmful.
Meanwhile, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) pondered Taylor’s mental state. As it turns out, they did indeed have serious cause for concern.

But how were they to know? All the women could do was swear to one another that they’d both be there to see Taylor safely through this bump in the road.
As a result, Steffy came to see a new side to Brooke. A side that she could appreciate. Despite herself, Steffy had to admit that Brooke was good for Taylor and that she really appreciated Brooke having Taylor’s back. No problem, insisted Brooke. It was her pleasure.
And to prove just how sincere she was, Brooke acquiesced to Steffy’s plea that she immediately go to Taylor’s side…but not before promising that she’d do everything in her power to save Taylor from herself — if it came to that.
Still, Steffy couldn’t help but worry. And that worry rubbed off on her ever-loving hubby Finn (Tanner Novlan), who suggested that they move Taylor back into their guestroom for the foreseeable future. Steffy would love to do that, LOVE it. However, she was more than convinced that Taylor would never go for it.
B&B Recap: The Library Is Open
At Thomas’s urging, Hope finally agreed to be open and honest with him. No, no she does not want him to return to the Hope For The Future fold.
And sure, there was a moment — a BRIEF moment — where Hope had considered throwing her integrity to the wayside and hiring Thomas back, but she’d thought better of it. Hope has Steffy to thank for that.
But before Thomas got it into his head that Steffy somehow turned Hope against him, Hope wanted to make it clear that it was Thomas himself who sealed his own fate.
For all his talk about changing for the better, Thomas proved — and not for the first time — that he is a man who can’t be trusted. He used and abused his son — and not for the first time — he targeted people near and dear to Hope — and not for the first time — and despite what Thomas says, it doesn’t really look like he’s actually sorry for doing…well, any of that.
Therefore, Thomas gets no reward from Hope. She’s done with him, point blank, period.
Brooke Finds A Startling Scene
After making her way to Taylor’s abode and finding the door unlocked — note to self, declares Brooke, make sure to remind Taylor SAFTEY FIRST — Brooke let herself inside and came across the aforementioned missive.
The ending passage, coupled with Brooke’s discovery of the pill bottle, led her to only one stupefying conclusion. A race to the bedroom uncovered Taylor’s unresponsive body slumped on the bed. Has Doc done the unthinkable?
