Will B&B Spoilers Show Li Never Ever Forgiving Poppy?

B&B spoilers often reveal hints of backstory. Soap characters wouldn’t be who they are today without viewers knowing from where those folks came. Case in point: Dr. Li Finnegan has a major axe to grind against her sister Poppy. The wounds run deep.

B&B Spoilers: Li V. Poppy

If you’ve ever gone to bat for someone and they let you down, you know how Li (Naomi Matsuda) feels. She got her sister, Poppy (Romy Park) a job in a hospital gift shop and Poppy turned it into an episode of Southwestern General by having an affair with a married doctor! Then, we learned that Li has some deep-seated jealousy that her sister can have a child and poor Li can’t. Can Li ever get past this?

Time Heals All Wounds

Sure, Li might be mad now but she can’t hold a grudge forever. Someday, Li will put the torch down and realize blood is thicker than water. Most folks have probably forgotten all about Poppy’s misstep. And it’s not Poppy’s fault that she got pregnant and had a baby and Li adopted Finn (Tanner Novlan), the byproduct of her husband Jack’s (Ted King) affair with demonic Sheila (Kimberlin Brown).

It’s possible that Li will soften her stance on Luna (Lisa Yamada). After all, it’s not her niece’s fault that her mom made a big error at work. It’s also not Luna’s or Poppy’s fault that Li can’t have children. Who is Li to stand in the way of young love? Li has no right to stop Luna from pursuing her career at Forrester Creations or a life with RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman). Li will realize that a daughter shouldn’t pay for the sins of her mother.

Simmer Down, Simmer Down

The truth hurts but it can hurt less once it’s out in the open. Well, maybe not always. But it should in this case. Li will feel better now that Poppy knows why she is jealous of her. The good doctor has her wonderful son and grandson, Hayes. She’ll move on and support Luna and RJ. She may even sit next to her sister at Luna and RJ’s wedding.
