B&B Spoilers: Ridge Grows a Conscience

With Brooke’s sudden engagement to Bill, it looks like the Forresters have a lot of pending nuptials. Surprising new The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show Ridge growing a conscience about what he’s doing to swipe the company away from Eric.

Anyone But Him
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) grudgingly admits he wants Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to be happy, but he has some serious questions about whether or not Bill (Don Diamont) is the one for her. In fact, he thinks anyone but Bill would work better. Ridge isn’t wrong to ask Brooke to examine her reasons for accepting such a rash proposal.

It’s certainly easy to believe that this ultra quickie, unexpected engagement might have more to do with the Forrester shares Ridge wants to accumulate and a whole lot less to do with true, everlasting love. Could Bill and Brooke possibly love each other?

Hot Air Lifting You Up
Sure, the couple shares a torrid past. However, that’s not enough to sustain a lasting marriage. Indeed, Ridge cleverly uses some of their past in a hot air balloon as a metaphor for how unsubstantial their relationship is.

Ultimately, Ridge wants Brooke to promise him that this shocking new twist is for her own happiness and not simply to help him. It’s a promise she might not be able to make, though because it’s obvious she’s back with Bill because she wants Ridge to get what he wants.
