B&B Spoilers Speculation: Eric’s Secret May Cause ‘Bridge’ Collapse

B&B spoilers have teased that Eric’s health crisis is increasing — and he wants it kept a secret. That’s all fine and good if the secret stays that way, but if either Brooke or Ridge finds out and is sworn to secrecy, could that damage their bond?

Remember when the Forresters were one big happy family? Loving, supportive of one another, and just plain happy? Okay, maybe not, but could Eric’s (John McCook) health crisis pull them together or will it cause yet another rift between Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)?

B&B: A Solid Bond

It does seem that Brooke and Ridge have matured, and they are past all the petty and vindictive fights of their youth. Their current relationship status is a bond that can’t be broken, right? Not only can they handle the news, but it will bring them closer together as they support the Forrester patriarch. 

B&B Spoilers: It’s A No-Brainer

At least, that’s how it should go. But time and time again, this duo falls apart under outside pressure. It is apparent that they have bonded by their disfunction. Brooke and Ridge will probably bicker about how Eric should be treated, what kind of treatment he should receive, or even just how much time they should spend with him. It is always something, and a break may be inevitable.

Bold and Beautiful: Secrets Are Toxic

The most likely scenario though is that if Eric’s condition worsens and Brooke finds out first and has to keep it a secret from Ridge, it will drive a wedge between them. You would think by now they would realize that secrets are a relationship killer. Honesty is the best policy. Trust is the glue that keeps couples together. Technically, it really isn’t about them. It is up to Eric to set the tone of how to handle his medical condition. Period. But we doubt Ridge will see it that way.
