Former General Hospital star Bryan Craig is putting the soap world on notice — he is ready to return to the medium that helped him take home not one but two Daytime Emmys for his work as Morgan Corinthos on the ABC soap.
Bryan Craig — Ready To Return
The young actor took to Twitter on Friday to announce his big news. “I’m ready to work and up for grabs so who’s it gonna be? @GeneralHospital @YRInsider @BandB_CBS @nbcdays.”
The obvious choice would be General Hospital resurrecting Morgan — or perhaps creating a lookalike that gets used by Cyrus (Jeff Kober) to mess with his arch-nemesis, Morgan’s mobster father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). That’s something Craig could easily do and the fans might be excited to see happen. But Craig has friends elsewhere.
Ron Carlivati, head writer at Days of our Lives, used to have those duties at General Hospital and wrote for Craig. What about having the talented actor move to Salem? He could be one of Sonny’s (Freddie Smith) brothers whom we’ve never met. Or, now that the show has Tamara Braun (who played Morgan’s mom Carly) returning as Ava, should Joey get released — maybe Craig could play him?
Over at The Bold and the Beautiful, it might be time to bring a more mature RJ back (last played by Anthony Turpel, who is doing fine with his Netflix series Love Victor), now that his parents have broken up once again. It’s high time he takes his rightful place at Forrester.
Then there’s The Young and the Restless. There are plenty of ladies who could use someone new on the Genoa City scene to romance them. With all these new businesses being started, his new character could be recruited by any one of them as the newest power player.
While Craig did some great work in many of his projects post-General Hospital, especially as the complicated Javi on Grand Hotel, daytime fans would love to see this talented actor back on their screens on a daily basis.
