The latest soap ratings for the week ending Friday, October 16 are out. How did The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless measure up? Soap Hub has the scoop!
Soap Ratings Race
Here’s how the soaps ranked in households: YR was in first place with a 2.22 rating. BB was in second place with 2.0, GH was third with 1.38, and DAYS was fourth with 1.09. Each rating point is equal to 1.210 million viewers. That translates into YR having 2.69 million viewers. BB scored 2.42 million viewers. GH attracted 2.3 million viewers. DAYS had 1.32 million viewers.
In the Women 18-49 demographic, YR was first with .41; BB and GH tied for second place with .35. DAYS earned a .29 in the coveted demo.
The Bold and the Beautiful
What stories were gripping people during this time period? On BB, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continued to make improvements with her opioid addiction. Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) showed Zoe (Kiara Barnes) his new pad — which he bought from Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). He also presented her with a key, hoping to take their relationship to a new level. Liam’s (Scott Clifton) concerns over Finn (Tanner Novlan) continued to escalate. Finn walked in as Liam was talking about him negatively to Steffy.
Days of our Lives
On DAYS, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) aired for the last time. Kate (Lauren Koslow) brought her car into Jake’s (Brandon Barash) garage to be repaired. Jack (Matthew Ashford) recalls walking out on Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Abby (Marci Miller) when Abby was just a little baby. Nicole (Arianne Zucker) reluctantly told Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) that Allie (Lindsay Arnold) had been raped. Tripp (Lucas Adams) maintained his innocence in Allie’s attack.
General Hospital
Over on GH, word got around Port Charles that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) had died and her body was found. A mugger attacked Martin (Michael E. Knight) and took a letter he had from Nelle. Ava (Maura West) received a phone call from Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) at Pentonville. She decided to go and meet with him there.
The Young and the Restless
On YR, Elena (Brytni Sarpy), frantic that Devon (Bryton James) was falling for Amanda (Mishael Morgan), impulsively made love with Nate (Sean Dominic). She immediately regretted it. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) told Adam (Mark Grossman) that her new business was losing investors because of the negative article written about him. Phyllis’s (Michelle Stafford) money problems were solved — sort of; Victoria (Amelia Heinle) paid off Phyllis’s debt but got control of the Grand Phoenix in the process.
