Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?
Soap Opera Casting For The Week of August 21, 2023
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
Days of our Lives
John-Paul Lavoisier is back on the Days of our Lives scene as Philip Kiriakis starting Friday, August 25. The character, sent to a mental hospital in 2021, is back for a multiple-episode story arc to mourn the death of his father, Victor Kiriakis (the late John Aniston). Lavoisier previously portrayed Philip from 2015 to 2016. The role was last played by Jay Kenneth Johnson.
Jen Lilley is also heading back to DAYS later this month as Theresa Donovan, Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) ex, and the mother of his son, Tate. Lilley last appeared on the soap in 2018, when Theresa moved to California to care for her ailing mother, Kimberly (Patsy Pease).
Darren Richardson portrays Elliot Roth, the barrister representing Von Leuschner Trust on Wednesday, August 23. He’ll share scenes with Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen DiMera, Brandon Barash’s Stefan DiMera, and Camila Banus’ Gabi Hernandez at the DiMera mansion.
Natalie Cole Gilbert appears as Midge on Thursday, August 24, a patient at Bayview Sanitarium. She’ll interact with Steve Burton’s Harris Michaels and Tamara Braun’s Ava Vitali.
General Hospital
After a long absence, Hudson West finally reappears on General Hospital as Jake Webber, Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) middle son. The teen actor will share scenes with his TV mother and Roger Howarth’s Austin Gatlin-Holt.
Jeffrey Stubblefield has been cast as Dr. Bronson, a new physician in Port Charles. Look for the doctor to meet with his patient, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), this week. Stubblefield recurred on Good Trouble (as Michael Davidson).
The Young and the Restless
Over at The Young and the Restless Vail Bloom makes another appearance as Heather Stevens on Monday, August 21. She’ll interact with Michael Graziadei’s Daniel, as the two exes discuss their past.
Cait Fairbanks pops back in as Tessa Porter on Wednesday, August 23. She’ll share powerful scenes with Camryn Grimes’s Mariah Copeland, when the new parents face a challenge regarding their daughter, Aria.
