Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of April 11, 2022
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
Days of our Lives
There’s a big return at Days of our Lives. Greg Vaughan resurfaces as Eric Brady on Friday, April 15, and word is he’s back for a lengthy run. The actor last aired in December, when Eric performed Marlena Evans Black’s (Deidre Hall) exorcism.
Joe Basile turns up as Hutchins on Thursday, April 14, one of the men who falsely accused Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) of planting evidence against him. He’ll share scenes with Camila Banus’ Gabi Hernandez DiMera.
The Bold and the Beautiful
After two years, Tanner Novlan has come to the end of his run as Dr. John Finnegan, aka Finn, on The Bold and the Beautiful. Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) husband was killed off in a shocking twist when he was shot by his birth mother, Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Novlan, who joined the soap in 2020, didn’t see the move coming. “I was pretty surprised,” he told Soap Opera Digest.
General Hospital
Josh Coxx has returned to General Hospital as Brendon Byrne, the late Neil Byrne’s (Joe Flanigan) brother. He originally appeared on the soap opera in 2020 and looks to be back for a cryptic plot turn involving Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel).
Also, Enzo De Angelis is back as Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) youngest son, Aiden. He’ll share scenes with Genie Francis’ Laura Collins on Thursday, April 14.
