Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

General Hospital

Kirsten Storms triumphantly returns to General Hospital as Maxie Jones this week. The actress had been recovering from brain surgery she underwent in June. She’ll share scenes with James Patrick Stuart’s Valentin Cassadine and Laura Wright’s Carly Corinthos.

Avery Kristen Pohl has joined the cast as Esme, Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) duplicitous girlfriend and mysterious nurse who’s been lurking around the hospital. Pohl’s guested on the TV series Never Have I Ever and Dirty John, and appeared in the movie Sunset on the River Styx.

Josh Murray is playing Russell the guard, the character who’s been watching over the abducted Drew (Cameron Mathison).

On the GH exit front, Genie Francis is heading off on an extended summer vacation, which means Laura Collins will be off the canvas until fall. In addition, Rif Hutton has wrapped up his run as Lenny Caulfield. His character succumbed to cancer.
