Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of February 14, 2022
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
Days of our Lives
In the “you barely had a chance to miss him” department, Matthew Ashford will soon be back on Days of our Lives scene as Jack Deveraux. The actor, who exited Salem and headed to Boston with Melissa Reeves’s Jennifer in January, will be returning to soap opera later this month.
Alison Sweeney is readying for another run as Sami Brady DiMera, too. The actress is reportedly on the DAYS set taping scenes. When last seen in January, Sami left for Italy with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) to rebuild their relationship. Look for Sweeney to begin airing again this summer.
Meanwhile, the new bad guy TR Coates (William Christian) is getting an ex-girlfriend. Donielle Artese has been cast in the role. The actress’ credits include the HBO series Insecure, Jane the Virgin, and Rizzoli & Isles.
General Hospital
Over at General Hospital, after a short break, Kelly Monaco has returned to the canvas as Sam McCall. The actress was temporarily replaced on the soap opera by Lindsay Hartley (ex-Theresa, Passions; ex-Arianna, Days).
Leroy Edwards III has been appearing as the WSB agent. It’s a role the actor began portraying in 2021.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
