Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
Days of our Lives
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) daughter will soon be heading home to Salem on Days of our Lives. Abigail Klein has been cast in the role of Stephanie Johnson, last portrayed by Shelley Hennig. She’ll make her debut on the second installment of Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem and then join the NBC soap. Klein’s credits include Code Black, GLOW, S.W.A.T., and American Housewife. Plus, she played a nanny on The Young and the Restless in 2011
William Christian is wrapping up his run as Lani Price Grant’s (Sal Stowers) diabolical biological father, TR Coates. The character will meet his maker this week when Lani fatally shoots him. Christian made his debut on the soap opera as TR last January.
Bruce Beaty returns as Salem University Hospital’s administrator Seth Burns. He’ll appear in scenes with Mary Beth Evans’ Kayla on Tuesday, May 10.
General Hospital
Joshua Benard, Maurice Benard’s (Sonny) real-life son, will be returning to General Hospital for another appearance as Adam this month. He last aired as the college classmate who taunted Josslyn (Eden McCoy) about her leaked sex video in March.
Inga Cadranel has completed her run as Harmony Miller, Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) “mother.” The character died after being hit by a car. Miller debuted as Harmony back in 2019.
Chris Van Etten is back on the soap opera as Chet Driscoll on Monday, May 9. He’ll share scenes with Cassandra James’ Terry Randolph.
The Young and the Restless
There will be a special guest at Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) wedding on The Young and the Restless. Morgan Obenreder will resurrect her role as Crystal Porter, Tessa’s little sister. She’ll arrive in town on Friday, May 13. Obenreder originally appeared on Y&R back in 2017.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR).
