Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of February 28, 2022

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

General Hospital

General Hospital has recast the key role of Jordan Ashford. Tanisha Harper is taking over the role of Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) ex-wife and TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) mother. The character, previously played by Vinessa Antoine and Briana Nicole Henry, was last seen in September of 2021 when she was sent to a medical clinic in Albany after a brush with death.

Wes Ramsey wrapped up his four-year run as Peter August. The villain met his demise on the soap opera, while on the run from authorities, last week.

Days of our Lives

Melissa Reeves returns to the Days of our Lives canvas as Jennifer Deveraux on Friday, March 4. The character last aired in January, when Jennifer headed to Boston with Jack (Matthew Ashford) to begin running a local newspaper.

Greg Rikaart is also back at DAYS for a new soap opera story arc as the unscrupulous Leo Stark. Look for the character to resurface this week. He’ll soon be joined by Chandler Massey and Zach Tinker, who are heading back to Salem as Will Horton and Sonny Kiriakis, respectively.

The Young and the Restless

Over at The Young and the Restless, Kelsey Wang, remembered as Dawn of Day member Daisy on the soap opera General Hospital, has been cast as Allie, a new young professional in town. She’ll begin airing in March.

Jeremiah Jahi debuts in the recurring role of Dr. Huffman, Chance’s (Conner Floyd) new therapist, on Wednesday, March 2. Jahi previously appeared as Officer Greenly on One Life to Live and had day player roles on All My Children and As the World Turns.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Last but not least, The Talk co-host, Akbar Gbajabiamila, is back at The Bold and the Beautiful as Max. The Forrester Creations executive airs on Thursday, March 3.

The Price Is Right model Alexis Gaube returns as Petra, a Forrester model, on Wednesday, March 2. Meanwhile, Nick Waters pops back in as Keith, the assistant manager at Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) hotel on Wednesday, March 2.
