Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of November 22, 2021
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
General Hospital
A longtime General Hospital fan favorite is on his way out. After some controversy regarding Ingo Rademacher’s opposition to a Covid-19 vaccination mandate, the actor is being written off the soap. Rademacher, who joined the ABC soap in 1996, will make his last appearance as Jasper “Jax” Jacks on Monday, November 22.
Meanwhile, Parry Shen will soon be returning as Brad Cooper. The character, who has been serving out a prison sentence, is coming up for parole. Will he get it? Word is there’s some intriguing story planned for the duplicitous lab technician on the soap opera.
Days of our Lives
Over at Days of our Lives, a pair of bad guys are heading back to the fold. Actors Greg Rikaart and James Read, who play Leo Stark and Clyde Weston respectively, both appeared in the cast anniversary photo that DAYS tweeted out on November 9. Rikaart was last seen as the smarmy Leo in the Peacock spinoff, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.
Eileen Davidson returns as the devil’s conjured-up version of Kristen DiMera, this week. She’ll share seductive scenes with Drake Hogestyn’s John on Monday, November 22.
Also, Nash Gunderson pops back in as Henry Horton. The tyke will appear opposite his daytime mother, Lindsay Arnold’s Allie, and Lucas Adams’ Tripp on the beloved soap opera.
The Young and the Restless
It looks like there could be some special appearances on The Young and the Restless’ annual Thanksgiving Day celebration. According to Y&R’s weekly spoilers, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) places calls to her two kids, Daniel and Summer, before getting into bed for the night. However, she’s later awakened by the arrival of some surprise guests, who let themselves into her suite. It sounds like those guests might be Michael Graziadei and Hunter King, reprising their roles as Daniel Romalotti and Summer Newman Abbott, respectively.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
