Quinn Fuller Forrester is often her own worst enemy. Trying to orchestrate Shauna (Denise Richards) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) wedding vows renewal ceremony backfired big time, resulting in her leaving her home with Erick (John McCook). She may not have re-earned his trust yet, but Rena Sofer’s heartfelt plea to Eric for him to take her back has earned Quinn’s portrayer, Rena Sofer, Soap Hub’s Performer of the Week honors for The Bold and the Beautiful.
Quinn moving in with her son Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and his lady love Flo (Katrina Bowden) set up some comedic possibilities contrasting the seriousness Quinn felt over her situation with Eric. In fact, she got some chuckles out of them and Shauna (Denise Richards) after she yelled at her BFF to dramatically swear on Flo’s life that nothing was going on between her and Eric.
Once assured that Shauna hadn’t betrayed her, Quinn went over to the Forrester mansion where and Eric spoke in the landmark living room set. Quinn was encouraged by the fact that her portrait still hung over the fireplace.
Quinn was as smart as she was heartfelt in her plea to Eric. She wisely didn’t go on the attack, pointing out that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) had somehow forced her to behave nefariously. Instead, Sofer softly reached out to Eric, telling him she didn’t want to lose him, adding she felt terrible that she’d hurt him.
Quinn went on to listen to Eric’s points. She chose not to interrupt him, but when Eric said “if” he were going to take Quinn back, she was thrilled that this possibility existed.
Eric’s wife committed to proving that her and Eric’s love was worth saving. Eric couldn’t help but be affected by not only her words but the heartfelt emotions behind them. But she wasn’t winning him fully over…yet.
As longtime viewers know, Eric overlooked his wife Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) numerous machinations quite a few times. In fact, Eric even took Stephanie back after she lied about having had a heart attack in order to prompt Ridge to leave Brooke and reunite with Taylor (Hunter Tylo). “There are things about you I’ll always love,” Eric once said to Steph. Might those words best describe how he feels about Quinn, too?
Time will tell if Eric takes Quinn back into his home and into his life. If he does, there’s little doubt that Quinn baring her emotions to Eric will have greatly influenced his decision. While Ridge and Shauna’s marriage (which was invalid anyway) wasn’t renewed, perhaps Eric and Quinn’s will be. Stay tuned to see what happens next. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
