Kimberlin Brown is mesmerizing as daytime villainess extraordinaire Sheila Carter. The naughty nurse has managed to stay out of jail but it’s come as a price — obedience to Bill Spencer. Watching Brown play cat-and-mouse with the Dollar Bill has given her new levels to bring to life on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Kimberlin Brown – Performer of the Week
Sheila’s always the one in control even when she’s out of control — if that makes sense. She lets her insecurities get the best of her and uses force to try to make her point. Sheila’s always her own worst enemy. Even though she’s managed to stay out of prison for shooting Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), she’s made a deal with the devil along the way.
Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) can’t fight her attraction to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) however, she not only doesn’t want Bill to find out she’s stepping out on him she actually can’t. There’s too much at stake. Sheila cautioned Deacon that Bill hates Deacon so he can never find out what they’re doing. “Really?” Deacon rhetorically replied. “I hate him too.” That bit of sexy confidence only made Deacon more attractive to Sheila, we imagine.
After the lovemaking (or is it just sex?), Deacon suggests to Sheila that they each feel a sense of belonging when they’re together. However, it’s possible Sheila can’t meet Deacon on that level for now. It’s clear that she’d rather be with Deacon over Bill. There are few secrets between them. Next, a panicky Sheila admitted to not knowing where she stands with Bill. Brown often plays her character as being in the power position yet Sheila fears Bill finding out about her and Deacon. We get the impression it’s not just her freedom that’s a concern but also her very life!
Kimberlin Brown displays one side of Sheila when she’s in Deacon’s arms — a very passionate one — and quite another when she’s with Bill as evidenced by her mood when she got back to the media mogul’s mansion. There, Bill quizzed her on where she’d been. “Rodeo,” she lied in her reply, referring to Rodeo Drive which is frequented by both wealthy Beverly Hills residents and tourists.
Bill queried why she had no purchases with her but Sheila deftly sidestepped his curiosity and offered to get Bill a drink. The two continued to spar as Bill made it clear that Sheila knows better than to betray him as nobody ever gets away with that.
Sheila pulled out her favorite secret weapon (no, not a pistol) — that sinister smile that she uses so often. It wasn’t until Bill and Sheila embraced and her face was hidden from him that we saw a shade that Sheila doesn’t always display — fearful uncertainty.
