This week, Soap Hub has done a little outside-the-box thinking in selecting its ‘Performer of the Week for B&B.’ The beautiful city of Rome practically became a character on The Bold and the Beautiful as players acted out storylines in Italy. Therefore, we’re giving props to the show’s Supervising Producer Casey Kasprzyk, who directed the remote footage in The Eternal City, bringing additional beauty to B&B in the process!

Casey Kasprzyk – Performer Director of the Week

Kasprzyk and the B&B team wove famous Italian landmarks into the show’s storylines including the Hope for the Future fashion press presentation. First up, there was The Fountain of The Four Rivers (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi) by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Kasprzyk gave viewers a bird’s eye view of the famous fountain so they could see its full majesty.

Another story beat was the renewed romance between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). (Who didn’t see that coming once Taylor and Brooke ended their pact back in Los Angeles?) Brooke, who like Carter brushed up on her Italian history, brought Ridge to The Janiculum Hill Cannon, which is fired every day.

Brooke and Ridge’s last split was set against the show’s remote to Aspen; so it’s only appropriate that they reunited on another remote. “I want to be able to believe that this could be a new beginning for you and me,” Brooke emotionally shared with Ridge. “If only I could show you a sign,” Ridge’s Logan added. Then, the cannon went off! Bellissimo!

Next, Casey Kasprzyk brought viewers closer to The Fountain of The Four Rivers as Hope and Brooke modeled Hope for the Future designs. The well-received presentation likely elevated Hope’s mood, which set the stage for the kiss Liam (Scott Clifton) spied as Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) locked lips by the Colosseum!

What do you think? Post a comment!

Contrasting Liam’s sense of deep betrayal (he’s probably not going to go to an Italian restaurant for a vegan dish ever again!) was the romantic reunion taking place at another tourist spot. Ridge, at Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) urging, took a peek through The Aventine Keyhole. It wasn’t the beauty of St. Peter’s, which Ridge could see when he looked through the hole in the door, but rather the beauty of Brooke Logan.

Kudos to Kasprzyk and the B&B production for taking full advantage of Rome’s most beautiful locations to set the stage for the additional drama to play out back in Beverly Hills. How will Taylor (Krista Allen) respond to Bridge’s reunion? How does Hope feel now that she’s acted on her feelings towards Thomas? And what about that kiss between Liam and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)?
