Annika Noelle has given numerous tour de forces over the years for her portrayal as heroine Hope Logan Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress is also quite capable in scenes in which Hope shifts to a supportive role. For her part as an understanding listener, Soap Hub bestows upon her Performer of the Week honors for B&B.

We’re not quite sure which was more jarring. The cowboy outfit Hope traipsed around town in recently or the fact that she was left alone with Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) after she stopped by to see Eric Forrester (John McCook) about some company business. Noelle played Hope’s understandable uneasiness around Quinn. Given the women’s history, it’s no surprise.
Still, that didn’t stop Hope from trying to lend Quinn the compassion a decent person (which Hope is) would afford anyone. She realized she wasn’t going to get more out of Quinn other than everything was “FINE!” so Hope made a hasty retreat.
Next, Hope came upon Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) kissing Eric at the club. Hope waited for Eric to exit before confronting her aunt. She demanded to get to the truth and then exploded with disbelief, pointing out that Eric’s a married man!
Hope’s been on the other side of being cheated upon more times than she cares to remember. So, it was very much in character for her immediate reaction to Eric and Donna‘s affair to be negative, conceding that she wasn’t Quinn’s biggest fan. “Marriage should still be respected,” said Hope, still stunned over what she’d discovered.
It’s been said that acting is all about listening and that’s just what Annika Noelle’s Hope did as her aunt poured out her heart, telling her that she truly does love Eric and that this isn’t just a fling. Hope was not unaffected by her aunt’s emotional plea.
“Everyone deserves honesty, everyone deserves joy, everyone deserves to feel love and respected,” Hope acknowledged. And, while she knows that applies to Quinn, she also feels that Donna deserves it, too. Hope injected humor into the moment as Donna thanked her for not labeling her a homewrecker. “Do you know who my mother is?” quipped Hope, hastening to add, “I’m kidding, obviously.”
Hope couldn’t promise she’d remain mum forever but Donna felt she had made some headway in keeping her niece to stop from hightailing it back to see Quinn. If you’re looking to hide a body or cover up a crime, there are lots of folks on the B&B canvas to reach out to. But if you need someone to lend a sympathetic ear and understand what’s in your heart then, your first call should be to Hope Logan Spencer. She may not agree with your choices but she’ll respond with care and concern. Brava, Annika Noelle.
