Should The Bold and the Beautiful Move Action to the Hospital?

The doctors are in on The Bold and the Beautiful. Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan was added to the show’s cast in 2019. Last year saw the returns of both Sheila Carter, a nurse, and Dr. Taylor Hayes, a psychiatrist. More recently, we saw the arrival of Dr. Grace Buckingham. And, of course, Dr. Bridget Forrester is never far away from her family.

Should the soap shift some of the action away from the runway to the hospital, given the number of characters who have medical backgrounds and or “Dr.” before their name? Soap Hub posed this question to the show’s fans. Read on for the results.

Annual Checkups

The majority of you, nearly 49%, say that B&B doesn’t need to move to hospital settings more than is necessary. If Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) — heaven forbid! — gets in another accident or another character faces a medical malady then, by all means, B&B should get its hospital and/or emergency set up. However, they don’t have to go overboard.

The Bold and the Beautiful Is Always In Fashion

The Bold and the Beautiful began its near 35-year run at Forrester Creations. Viewers saw Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) office and the backstage fitting area just before models went out on the runway. This is where the action should remain according to over 27% of you. Fans want to see fashions galore — not hospital scrubs!

Los Angeles Grace

The rest of you, nearly 24%, say that you can see B&B incorporating some more medical sets on a regular basis given the number of characters who are doctors and, in Sheila’s case, an ex-nurse. While fashion will always come first, the CBS soap has told many medical stories over the years including Ridge’s hospitalization after being shot in the head, Stephanie’s ‘heart attack,’ and, more recently, Eric’s erectile dysfunction.
